Shifting Gears

So here is my first blog post!

One of my 2021 goals is to be better at all things tech. This was not my plan but life changes.

When I opened my small business in 2019 my sole ambition was to open a physical shop. I wanted to go back in time to good old fashioned shop keeping. Meet and greet, chat, tell stories, be human. Things have changed...

With the pandemic we find ourselves immersed in, it's now important I blend my old fashioned values and approach and make my business more accessible for my wonderful customers, old and new. I need to get online.

So I have had to learn some new stuff and the biggest thing I have learned is that there is a LOT to learn!!

I haven't even scratched the surface of website analytics or SEO something or other but I am learning.

I have discovered that one thing I love to do is write.

I hear a lot that my Facebook posts are enjoyed because they are not just selling articles but more mini stories or little ramblings on my part. Once I start I get carried away on a post so I had a brain wave this morning and thought... why not start a blog. If nothing else I will have a record of my story for me.

So here it is. (Assuming it posts! Ha!)

I hope that this little blog replaces, for now, the beautiful interactions we have in my shops (I have 2 shops now!) My hope is that I am able to take you there. Still have the connection and still stay in touch.
